Pastor Selena has been in healthcare for over 30 years, is credentialed with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and currently employed with the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Health System Specialist.
Selena and her siblings were reared by her beloved mother, Elder Johnnie Mae Jones, a powerful prayer warrior and anointed woman of God who served faithfully in the Pentecostal Church of Christ for many years, and spent her later years of service at New Vision New Day Ministry with her family. Pastor Selena accepted Christ at the young age of 11, was baptized and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost. She serves along side her husband Bishop Robert G. Moore Jr., Senior Pastor of New Vision New Day Ministry, and credits a great deal of her spiritual growth and personal development to Pastor Moore’s revelatory teaching, dynamic preaching, and exemplary leadership. She appreciates her husband not only as a great provider, father, and loving companion but also views him as an anointed and powerful spiritual leader in this present day. She is the proud mother of two natural children Tiarra and Melvin Jr., and is mom to bonus children Latasha, Robert III and Tiwan. She treasures time with family and close friends, loves serving people, appreciates performance arts, comedy and good music.
During her tenure she has established “Woman Thou Art Highly Favored” Women’s Ministry, “Covered by the Blood” weekly devotion/prayer call, and Annual Women’s Conference, SHEE-Unit (Sanctified, Holy, Excellent, Exemplary) young women's forum. It is her purpose to provide hope, inspire and empower all women who share some of the same challenges she has experienced. You can overcome all things by faith and trust in Gods transformative power. She often states “We are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God, not made by man, but an authentic design crafted by God with a purpose.” Her living scripture is Psalm 34.
