Bishop Robert G. Moore, Jr.
Bio
Born to parents Elder Robert G. Moore, Sr. and Evangelist Pearl A. Moore in 1962, and raised in the city of East Cleveland, Ohio. Robert Graduated from Shaw High School and attended Cuyahoga Community College with coursework in music theory and computer technology. As a result of his Christian parents he began to seek salvation, and on January 4, 1982 at Calvary Hill Church of God in Christ, after hearing the preaching of Elder Emmed Nevels, Robert accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Robert became a faithful member of Calvary Hill, and because of his talent and love for music he began serving as devotional leader, choir member, and musician. His passion for the Gospel and his spiritual gifts for ministry are expressed through the writing and composition of two CD releases “Seek Him” and “Anointed.”
Robert accepted the call to the preaching ministry in 1988, and was ordained an Elder in the Lord’s Church by the late Bishop William Morgan James of the Ohio Northern Jurisdiction of C.O.G.I.C. In 1996 Elder Moore became a member of the Pentecostal Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio under the mentorship of Bishop J. Delano Ellis II. In 1999 he was appointed Ruling Elder of the Parish of St. Matthew, where he faithfully served for a period of two years. In 2001 he became Pastor of New Vision New Day Church (formerly known as FaithTemple Pentecostal Church of Christ). He has continued to work faithfully in the up building of the Kingdom of God as he has been ordained to do. He was ordained to the office of Overseer in 2010 and then to the Office of Bishop in the Lord's Church and of the First Episcopal Diocese in the Pentecostal Churches of Christ Organization in 2013.
Bishop Moore is not only committed to ministry, but has a Class A CDL and is gainfully employed by DHL. People all over the city of Cleveland have been known to refer to him as the “Preaching Delivery Man” and his response is “not only do I deliver something to the spiritual man, but also for the physical man.” Elder Moore is the proud husband of Selena Marie and father to five children - Tiwan, Tiarra, Latasha, Robert III, Melvin.
Bishop Moore has always believed and stated: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Philippians 4:13) and “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
